notes from early 1970s midtown Atlanta - southern music venues, performers, insiders, peripherals - counterculture media, movers, shakers, dubious characters - truth, myth, anecdotes, confessions, evidence, ephemera - (Timespan reflects personal experiences, mostly 1971-1974, along with some backstory for context. Information included is not meant to be an all-encompassing record.)

ReplyDeleteSure enjoyed Great Southeast Music Hall.
ReplyDeleteHi, have been reading through your postings and found them to be interesting. Currently I am doing research on the musician Carl Perkins who also played with Johnny Cash and has a brief connection to Bob Dylan aswell (he completed the song "Champaign, Ill." by Dylan which the forementioned then gave to him as a gift.
DeleteDo you have any memories in relation to Carl Perkins or personally know someone who has, and might has documented them?
Would be nice to get in touch.
All the best from Berlin, Germany
Stephan
